This circuit is one of the finest examples of Pyrenean hiking. An extraordinary journey along the ridges overlooking the sea or at the water’s edge, leapfrogging over the calanques: here, every season has its own charm! We’ll follow in the footsteps of the painters who were drawn to the sun, the Mediterranean and a fantastic palette of colors: DALI, MIRO, PITXOT, PICASSO, MATISSE and others. Our itinerary takes in the Albères mountain range and its famous 14th-century signal towers, then follows the Pyrenees to where they bathe in the sea, offering the most beautiful coves. Although this tour takes in coastal paths where the accommodation is also located, we have classified it in the “Mountain” section, as the route mainly follows the ridges of the Pyrenean foothills as they flow into the sea.
